Ibiza's calendar is famous for what happens inside its clubs. But a surprising amount of the island's best 2026 programming happens on the coast — at sunset bars, beach clubs and open-air venues that look entirely different when you arrive by sea instead of by taxi.
Here's a guide to the events worth building a boat day around in 2026, and how the water changes the experience. For the full, always-updated list, see the EasyBoat events calendar.
Sunset sessions — the ones the water was made for
Cafe Mambo and the San Antonio sunset strip
The west-coast sunset ritual is the most boat-friendly event on the island. The classic move: a 3–4 hour sunset cruise out of San Antonio that times your return to the bay for golden hour, drinks aboard, the famous DJ sets drifting across the water from the Sunset Strip. You don't need a ticket and you don't need a table — you need a boat pointed west at 18:00.
Woomoon at Cova Santa
One of the island's most magical concepts — a boho, art-driven day-into-night gathering in an open-air venue built around an ancient cave in the San Jose hills, running Fridays through the 2026 season. It's inland, not on the water, but it pairs perfectly with a daytime boat trip down the south-west coast beforehand: Es Vedra, a swim at Cala d'Hort, then ashore for the night.
Beach clubs you can dock at
This is where arriving by boat genuinely upgrades the night.
- Blue Marlin, Cala Jondal. The south-coast scene anchorage — three decades of beach-club culture, a bay full of yachts, and the kind of place where the boat is the table. You anchor off, dinghy in, and the day rolls into the evening.
- O Beach and Ibiza Rocks, San Antonio Bay. The high-energy west-coast pool-party world. A private boat lets you watch the whole circus from the water and come and go on your own schedule.
- Nikki Beach and the east-coast clubs. A more polished, panoramic beach-club style on the east side, an easy cruise from Marina Botafoc or Santa Eularia.
Boat parties — the event is the boat
If the boat itself is the party, Ibiza has a long tradition: operators like Oceanbeat, Float Your Boat, Cirque de la Nuit and the Ibiza Rocks Boat Party run scheduled departures through the season — open-water sound systems, DJs, and a swim stop. These are ticketed group events rather than private charters, and they're a different (louder) animal from a private boat day, but for a certain trip they're exactly right.
The cultural side — daytime and family-friendly
Not everything on the island is a nightclub. Two 2026 highlights work beautifully as the daytime anchor of a trip:
- Ibiza Medieval Festival, Dalt Vila (early May). The UNESCO-listed old town transforms its winding streets into a medieval scene — markets, crafts, musicians, food and shows, free to wander. A morning in Dalt Vila and an afternoon on the water is one of the best low-cost days the island offers.
- Sant Joan (Midsummer, 23 June) and Sant Ciriac (8 August). Two of the island's traditional fiestas, with bonfires, processions and island-wide celebration. Local, free, and a window into the Ibiza that exists beyond the club brochures.
How to build a boat-and-event day
- Match the marina to the event. Sunset strip and pool-party world: leave from San Antonio. South-coast beach clubs and Es Vedra: San Antonio or Marina Ibiza. East-coast clubs and a calmer day: Marina Botafoc or Santa Eularia.
- Day on the water, night ashore. The strongest itinerary is almost always a daytime cruise and swim, then ashore for the evening event — not trying to do both at full intensity at once.
- Book the boat early for event weekends. Closing parties (mid-September), Gay Pride (June), and peak August weekends are the busiest dates for boats too. Reserve ahead.
- Check what's actually on. Line-ups and dates shift through the season. The EasyBoat events calendar tracks boat parties, beach-club sessions, sunset events and cultural fiestas in one place.

Compare BoatsFrequently asked questions
Can you watch the San Antonio sunset from a boat?
Yes — it's the best seat in the house. A sunset cruise leaving San Antonio around 18:00 puts you on the water facing west for golden hour, with the Sunset Strip's DJ sets carrying across the bay. No ticket or table needed.
Can you arrive at Ibiza beach clubs by boat?
Many of them, yes. Clubs like Blue Marlin (Cala Jondal) and the San Antonio Bay venues sit on anchorable bays — you anchor offshore and dinghy in, or arrange a tender. It's the most stylish (and often most practical) way to arrive in peak season.
What's the difference between a boat party and a private charter?
A boat party (Oceanbeat, Float Your Boat, etc.) is a ticketed group event with a fixed route, DJ and crowd. A private charter is your own boat for your group, going where you choose. For an event-focused day, many people do a private boat day and go ashore to the night event.
