On 15 August (Assumption Day) the resort bay of Cala Llonga celebrates with one of the east coast's best fireworks displays, launched over the water at the head of the bay. The whole beach turns out for a warm summer-night fiesta. The most spectacular view is from a boat anchored in the bay, with the pyrotechnics mirrored on the sea.
